GTEx
What can the tiny differences in DNA sequences among a thousand different people tell us about a heart's decision to turn a gene on or keep it silent? What about the prefrontal cortex, or even a salivary gland? The Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx) project aims to answer these questions, and we help them visualize this vast array of data while looking for patterns that may unravel these mysteries. We worked with GTEx computational biologists to develop many custom visualization tools like expression heatmap, Transcript Browser, LocusBrowser for exploring gene expression and understanding the association of genetic variation through eQTL data.
